Wishing Well Noticeboard Policy

1. The noticeboard is for the benefit of residents of Seascale and visitors to the area. Its primary function is to give details of essential services and to display public information announcements relating to the village and the immediate vicinity.

2. The Wishing Well Noticeboard will be the main display board for Parish Council notices.

3. The agenda for forthcoming Seascale Parish Council meetings will be posted 3 clear days before the meeting date.

4. The Wishing Well noticeboard may display notices from the Parish Council in cases of public interest. These may also appear on the library notice board.

5. Items promoting charitable events or events which contain a charitable fund-raising element will be accepted for display, subject to available space. Advertisements and notices of a commercial nature will not be accepted.

6. Out-of-date items will be removed promptly from the noticeboard.

7. The responsibility for updating the noticeboard will be that of a nominated volunteer, who will keep the key.

8. In the absence of the volunteer the noticeboard will be updated by the Clerk of the Parish Council who will also have a key. To be reviewed at every Annual General Meeting of the Parish Council

9. Requests for a notice displayed on the board must be sent to the Clerk theclerk@seascaleparishcouncil.co.uk If your request is declined, you may appeal the decision, which will be considered at the next Council meeting. The Council’s decision will be final.
