Seascale Parish Council invites tenders for grass cutting and maintenance services within Seascale Parish for the period 1 April 2026 to 31 October 2029.
Grass cutting is required at least once every three weeks during the growing season (1 April to 31 October). This includes mowing and edge strimming.
Grass must be maintained using either:
Strimming must only be used where necessary for edging around structures and area boundaries. Grass cuttings around structures and pathways must be cleared appropriately.
In addition to regular site maintenance, grass verges must be cut three times per year, alternating with highway authority maintenance.

Formal tender submissions must be provided in writing to the Parish Clerk by:

The successful contractor will be notified by mid-March 2026.
The contract will commence on 1 April 2026, with the first maintenance cycle to be completed within the first two weeks.
The Parish Council owns mowing, strimming and blowing equipment. Contractors wishing to use council equipment must accept full responsibility for:
Contractors must state clearly whether they will use their own equipment or council-owned equipment.
If maintenance is not completed within seven days of the agreed three-week schedule, weather permitting, the council may consider this a breach of contract.
Invoices must be submitted monthly and include maintenance dates.
